MLB TRADE RUMORS,COM has confirmed that the Angles have called and talked to the Orioles about Orioles semi-ace Jeremy Guthrie. Guthrie led the league in losses last year, mostly though these losses can be pinned on a terrible offence. He was on the trade block last year, but the players being offered in return were not enough to lose the only decent pitcher on the starting staff last year. He could be traded this offseason, and for a good haul. I have listed possibilites below, along with trade packages.
Angles Trade
Angles Send; Catcher Jeff Mathis, Utility player Maicer Izturis, and Pitcher Jerome Williams.
Angles Get: Pitchers Jeremy Guthrie and Matt Hobgood.
Yankees Trade
Yankees send: catcher Fransisco Cerville, Infielder Edurdo Nunez, Pitcher AJ Burnett
Yankees Get: Pitcher Jeremy Guthrie, Pitcher Kevien Gregg, Outfielder Matt Angle
Red Sox Trade
Red Sox send: Pitcher Dan Wheeler, Pitcher Felix Doubront, Outfielder Josh Reddick
Red Sox get: Pitcher Jeremy Guthrie, Outfielder Tyler Townsend
Correction: above Outfielder Tyler Townsed, Outfielder was incorrectly spelled originally, and has been corrected. Thank You.

The new owner of the Houston Astros, Jim Crane has been making plenty of changes of late. According to MLB trade rumors he has fire General Manager Ed Wade and President of Baseball Operations Tal Smith. This news comes after Crane agreed to move his team to the American League effective next season. Wade's #2 Dave Gotfried is the intrem GM but not a canadite for the job. This moves comes later than most GM's would have been fired. This also puts manager Brad Mills on the chopping block. I will update you on a short list for the job when it surface's. Likley destinations for the MLB's top Free Agents
In this article I will list the MLB's top Free Agents and where I think they will go, and also where I want them to go. This post will show 3 hitters and more will be in another post, so stay tuned for more, at a later time.
Aramis Ramirez, Third Basemen, Last Club Played On: Cubs. A-Ram is a good power threat with 26 homeruns last season. His batting average was .306 and he had 93 RBI's. He is likely to go to the Orioles as they could use his power and leadership. I like to see him go there as well, or to the Philles as he would create a potent lineup. All signs point that this slugger winds up on the east coast, witch team is to be decided but with winter meetings coming the contenders for A-Ram will soon be known, and I will let you know when anything goes down.
Carlos Pena, First Basemen, Last Club Played On: Cubs. Carlos Pena was once a super threat at the plate while with the Rays. But in his last year with Tampa(2010) he really went down hill he hit below .200, in fact he hit .196. He was never a great contact bat to start with but still hitting that low is very poor and really caused his stock to plummet before the 2011 season so he signed a cheap deal with the Cubs for 1 year to rebuild hsi stock as a premier 1st baseman. Things did not go with that plan though. He hit an "ok" average of .225, about his normal area, but it was not a big year to earn him his former status back. So again he and his agent Scott Boras will try to get him a good deal. What he has to sell is a .225 average 80 RBI's and 28 homeruns. Where he goes is very open and based on a few factors. The first factor is the health of Ryan Howard, if he will be out for most of the year Pena could give the Philles a stop gap, but Pena might want a multi year deal, something the Philles will not be able to offer. His options are as follows, and in no particulate order. The Orioles, Nationals, Indians, Philles, Mariners, and maybe the Astros. I want him in Oriole orange, witch could happen, or not.
Kelly Johnson, Second baseman, most recently a Blue Jay. Johnson was traded past the deadline by the D-Backs to the Jays for fellow slugger at the second base spot Arron Hill, and Infeilder John McDonald. He hits a bunch of homeruns with 21 last year, 58 RBI'S and a .222 batting average. He is the best of the current Free Agent at his positon, the only other available 2nd baseman is Martin Prado, and he must come by trade. Johnson strikes out a ton, but adds a great punch to any lineup. He can also play Leftfield, Third Base, and maybe Short Stop. He is targeted by the Tigers, and Rockies, while the Orioles may try to be a factor, but that remains to be seen, also the Jays would like him back, and will try for him. I think he goes back to the Jays and the Tigers trade for Prado and the Rockies sign or trade for something but who I don't know yet but that will clear up soon. I would love for him to be an Oriole, but that is in likley.

About Me
Hi, I am Tucker, and this is my blog it will provide my thoughts and opinions on anything MLB related. Some things you want to know before reading: I am an Orioles fan, as you will see in my posts. I hope to work in a MLB front Office role in the future. I respect Buck Showalter and Matt Klentak very highly. I also think of Rays Coach Tom Foley and LA Dodgers Assistant GM Jon De Watson as good baseball minds. I hope you enjoy the content of this blog.
